Introduction

Our research is concerned broadly with the understanding and application of the electronic and optical properties of solid-state materials and devices at the nanoscale. To this end, our laboratory incorporates efforts in advanced materials characterization, particularly using proximal probe techniques; micro- and nanofabrication; device characterization and analysis of device physics; and numerical modeling and simulation. Current programs and investigations focus on, but are not limited to, advanced semiconductor materials and devices.

Specific areas of interest currently include the following:

  • Solid-state nanoscience and nanotechnology

  • Semiconductor materials and advanced devices

  • Wide bandgap semiconductors for electronics and optoelectronics

  • Nanoscale imaging and characterization techniques

  • Photovoltaics and other technologies for energy generation

We are always happy to provide reprints or preprints, discuss our work, or explore possible research collaborations. For further information please contact Ed Yu.
